We're Coming

Okay, we've won the World Series. The fucking World Series. That's so fabulous in my little Philadelphian world that I can't sleep. There are hundreds of others like me right now, probably even thousands, and most of them are out on the Philadelphia streets raising hell and getting in trouble in celebration. Lucky bastards. But, I am here in my room half watching TV and half jumping from researching a little something for one class and catching up with my Facebook "notifications".
Don't give me that look.
Anyway, I had a point to this blog. So, we've won the World Series, wonderful news to the entire area. But there's something else we are greatly anticipating. Something that is going to have a more widespread and even bigger impact on our personal lives. If you haven't caught on by now, I am talking about the election.

I hate politicians.

Or perhaps just the practice of politicians, which is really just the practice of gaining power. I don't mean that in a "the government is a big controlled conspiracy" or any shit, but I do think that no one man should have to endure what politics has become on the level that politicians are involved. I mean, look at Obama on The Daily Show with John Stewart tonight. That man is under so much pressure that his eyebrows don't move when he speaks. I don't know if I trust that. Seems a little odd. Still voting for him over that old puppet McCain though. I respect every one's personal opinion, but if you're voting for McCain you're a big douche. No offense. Every one's worried about Obama's death by assassination but I'd say the bigger issue should be more worried about McCains death by extreme oldness. Okay, I'm done. Just busting his old balls.

What I mean to say is that I think that Obama's going to either be among the best and most progressive Presidents our nation has seen or he's going to get into office, drop the ball and America is going to dwindle helplessly into economic and individual depression. And we all know what happens in a depression, right? Remember that little section of History class--the one that sucked because nothing good, happy, or rainbow bright happened during the whole entire period? But with McCain a depression seems inevitable. If he wins, it's not him whose going to be in power, it's the same force of power that used Bush as their face. Don't get me wrong here either. I don't think Republicans are evil, I can even go so far as to say I understand their way of thinking... I mean, it would be perfect in my mind to blend some of the Republican's ideals with the Liberal's. Although you should probably go pretty heavy on the Liberal portion. But this is no perfect world. And though as I've said I don't feel the Republican Party is evil, I do believe that the republicans in power as well as those working for the "Bush Administration" definitely are. Drunk with power and hungry for money.
That's why I'll take my chances with Obama.
Not to mention I actually like the guy, He seems genuine and I even like his wife. But, like I said that man is a politician. He wants me to like him. I guess I'm just the kind of person it takes time to earn trust from. Especially if you're a politician.
So hey world, my people have won the World Series, lets see if the rest of us can win the election.

I recommend to check out the video of Obama on John Stewart tonight, it was a good show, and Obama's eyebrows never moved.

Okay, I'm finished. I'm going to write something for a class and sleep some sweet sleep. You do the same.
